Time Line


Apeego first set up its first factories in Tirupur and Bangalore, initiated exports to Sweden and other scandinavian countries. The main promoter Anil Goyel lived in Norway, Sweden during these early years from where he ran the sales office.


Apeego Marketing Pvt Ltd was incorporated as a vehicle for the domestic brand SMASH T-shirts which was the first brand in India to be advertised even on National Television. It soon became extremely popular and had the highest brand recall amongst all brands and was sold through almost 1000 dealers all over India. Today Apeego Marketing Limited is a deemed public company with both domestic and export business.


In 1994 a group company Apeego Limited made an IPO which was oversubscribed 6 times and listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The group continued to grow and had a subsidiary in London to service the UK and other European customers. With state of the art factories in Bangalore and Tirupur the Apeego group won many awards and became famous for its high quality standards. It was the second largest exporter in India by volume at that time doing more than 4 million pcs annually.


Due to major changes taking place in the international markets particularly regarding quotas, Apeego had decided to gradually exit the direct ownership of their own factories and instead to make strategic investments in fully compliant partner factories. This process was successfully completed leaving the company less labour intensive and therefore more competitive and fashion oriented. After these changes the listed company was sold leaving Apeego Marketing Limited as the sole flagship company in the group.


Apeego has a varied product mix of woven / knit across ladies, mens and kids. It also start's to offer Organic products from Its stables. Apeego today has a strong foothold in the UK market as well as most parts of Europe including Scandinavia and Spain as well as the United states of America.


Apeego repositions itself enters into agreements by funding multi product factories across the southern belt in India especially Bangalore and Tirpur. The company wholly controls entire captive capacities of these factories and works towards standardizing all in respect to compliance in order to service Apeego's vast client base built up over the last 3 decades.
Now having reinvented itself within the current market scenario and with decades of experience it has once again become a leading fashion house specialising in both domestic and export production in mens , ladies and childrens garments.
